Studies of Niobium Sorption from Chloride Solutions with the Use of Anion-Exchange Resins

This paper presents the results of studies for niobium sorption from chloride solutions with use anion-exchange organic sorbents: Amberlite IRA-67, Purolite A-100, AB-17-8, and AN-2FN. Niobium was performed model niobium-containing solutions. Data on comparative characteristics studied sorbents were obtained, static exchange capacity sorbents, values distribution coefficients, extraction degree during calculated. The A-100 resin exhibited highest affinity ions under conditions studied. Its coefficient 184 mL/g; 41.5%. To study equilibrium solution anionite, three well-known models isotherms applied: Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin–Radushkevich. data obtained confirm good agreement Langmuir experiments indicate that process takes place in a monomolecular layer adsorbent having homogeneous adsorption centers. optimum by determined as follows: hydrochloric acid concentration—5–10 wt.%, temperature—35–40 °C, duration—40–50 min. calculated activation energy temperature range 20–50 °C 25.32 kJ/mol, which corresponds to intermediate region corresponding transition diffusion kinetic mode.
